What's your handicap and what 3wood are you playing?

12HC - after not playing a 3 wood the last few months, have had a nice start with a used Cobra King F9 Speedback with Atmos Blue 7S stiff flex that I picked up. Playing it at 14.5*/42.75" in the draw setting. Never thought I would use the draw setting since I rarely slice the ball but it has been a great match thus far for dogleg left tee shots.

 

Last year I messed around with the TS2 16.5 and a Cobra F7 3W. They had their moments but ended up selling them and just going with my beaten up but trusty F6 Baffler.  Even tried a G410 5 wood for a month, but it didn't work out as well.

 

I still will probably used the F6 for the Par 5 second shots but already like the F9 better off the tee. Have also determined that I play the F6 Baffler better at 18.5* versus the lower loft settings.

I went ahead with the reshaft, but went with an RIP Beta 90.  I'd been fighting the LTD 3w off and on with the 8m3, but its been nothing short of great with the RIP Beta.

 

My hdcp has dropped to 7.x, though not due to the 3w.  🤔 😊

5 handicap here - I have tried a few 3 woods, TS2, PXG Gen 2 16* head and an M5 but due to a bit of operator error and high hands, I have recently dropped my 3 wood and am playing a SIM2 #2 hybrid at 16*. Much better flight and contact.

I'm around a 7 and am playing the original Callaway Epic 15* with Hzrdus 65 gram 6.0 shaft.  I've got it set at +1.   Really a great combo for me off the tee and fairway.  Not looking to change and it's been in the bag for quite awhile.

Currently a 4.1.  Playing the 425 Max with the Alta 65x.  Sounds like a broken garbage can but it's so easy and much longer than the previous Ping offerings.

13.1 at the moment, playing a Cobra Speed Zone 15^o with a Tensei Blue 65 Stiff. The 3 wood has always been the stick I struggled with the most, really enjoying using this one and slowly getting better. I find the speed zone is very easy to get in the air from the fairway.

Just order a C721 13.5 with a Ventus Red 6S. With a free Amazon gift card I had. 

 

I've had a major problem with trying to find a 3 wood head / shaft combo for the year. Haven't played a TEE in awhile. Hoping this is the ticket.

The SIM Ti is by far the best looking, hottest, longest and best feeling 3W I've ever hit. If I ever lose my mind and sell it, I need to be beaten.

This Smoke shaft is a little soft (stiff flex) for me, but I love hitting a 3-wood with a draw and this shaft takes away the right side of the course in this club. I typically hit it with a draw off the tee, and pretty straight off the deck. The shaft/head combo is also the easiest 3 wood I've ever tried off the deck. I don't have to "work hard" with this combo, it just goes where I want it with pretty much any halfway decent swing.

Just started carrying a handicap, playing off a 19 right now and trending down. Playing the Cobra LTD with stock aldila rogue shaft. Thing is an absolute monster. I've toed it a couple of times and it just rolls forever even with a poor strike. Super hot.

4.9 trending down a touch with a 42.25" PXG 0211 Fujikura Speeder Evo V757S D4swing weight. I have it tuned down 1 degree to 14*loft with a 20gram weight.  Hits high flight low spin bombs. Easy as it gets with eh sole rails and rounded edges of the toe and heal design.

That SIM TI 5 wood turned down to 17 is an absolute monster. I had one in the bag all last year. Just upgraded to SIM 2 this week.

been playing a lot this year and have made a few changes here and way over in the other end of the bag.    

My driver is set at 10.5 and I feel good about taking it off the fairway.  

Don't carry or own a three wood any more, have my five wood set up at 16º so its basically a week four wood, in that a strong four has a three wood shaft and mine doesn't.  

 

Playing longer fours and fives pretty well this year and plan the keep this setup till it doesn't work any more (in time honored WRX tradition).
