New Mizuno MPs just announced! Mizuno Pro 221/223/225

Clearly, the MMC was already slightly smaller (and less offset/thinner topline) than the 921 Forged. It's the HMB and 921F that are very similar profiles according to these specs. It's interesting that Vosh would make it a point to compare the new 223 to a 921 Forged,  and saying the 223 is slightly more compact, it already was more compact! I'm guessing the new 225 will be very close to the same size as the HMB. +/- 1 mm on the head length measurement. 

I saw the 225 in person and it appeared noticeably smaller than the HMB’s that I used to own. However, there wasn’t an HMB 7 iron available to do a side by side comparison. It could be that the 225 is not much smaller but is shaped so that it looks smaller than it actually is. We’ll see in a few months.

The HMB's were, from their inception, built around the concept of a long iron with forgiveness. In this iteration, we are told, that because the Fli-Hi driving iron was being introduced with the MP22 line, they decided to build a true iron line with the 225.

The last shovel PW was from the MP5 irons. They really changed them up in the MP18 lineup. I haven’t seen the new series but I’m sure they will not go back to the “shovel look” at this point. Or at least I hope not!

I still think they are slightly rounded, but still cleaner.

I agree, they have always made 7 great looking irons, then it looks like Ray Charles designs the pitching wedges.

Not that I am aware of. They did a copper release last year but that was a bit of a one off I think. .

I never really understood why mizuno doesn’t advertise their drivers and woods as much as their irons.

The 221's look fantastic. Shorter is better, smaller short irons is better. Copper underlay, beefed up muscle & tapered top line. All pretty nice.

I watched Crossfield’s vid and I usually forward to the end where he hits the irons one shot each and I’m liking the 223 more n more.  Can’t wait for the fitting cart heads to arrive so I can get my order in!

I don’t understand the super rounded PW and the excess offset in the short irons of the 223’s. I just want the same short iron offset as my I210’s and less offset than the i210 long irons. I thought the 223’s could be a worthy contender but it looks like there is 2-3x the offset
