As others have said, your order won’t be 5 days because that is only for Gen 4 clubs. I’ve made multiple orders with PXG and they took up to 3 weeks. When i ordered a new gen club it was built and shipped in two days. 

Yes, I’m that guy.  Sorry I wasn’t more clear.  My 790 order has been pushed back to mid-November due to delayed delivery of the MMT shafts.  
 

I was then just drawing a comparison to PXG who seemed to have anticipated this supply chain issue and have MMT shafts readily available for their irons and can ship Gen 4 irons in 3 days or less.  I’m building up a second bag that will be all PXG.  I’ve got the Gen 4 driver, 3w, 5w, 7w and will order the irons in the near future.  BTW, the fairway woods are really solid performers.

I hope not! If you don't have to have the "latest and greatest" then their prices are more than reasonable and their "Heroes" discount pricing is far better than any other OEM offers.

I ordered a set of Gen 3 irons last Tuesday afternoon (9/14) and they are shipping to me today (9/20) , actually I got the shipping notice yesterday.  5 days counting Saturday and Sunday.  Just really fast.

I ordered a new set of Ping i210s first week in August and it sounds like they MIGHT be here end of December.  Was originally end of October, early Nov.  

 

What PXG set would be similar to the ping i210s?  I was fitted with the blue dot and I think tour 65 shafts.  I have played ping i3+ for 20 years now, finally decided to get fitted and upgrade.  Currently a 9 handicap... Should I cancel and order the PXGs?  I thought after 20 years, 4-6 months wouldn't be a big deal but I am really starting to get impatient at this point.

 

I was able to get my 410 Driver and 5 wood and I am pretty consistent with both clubs, they have certainly helped my game out.

new/ returning golfer here. decided to get back into the sport after 5 years of not playing. I think PXG are doing the perfect marketing strategy for people like me who are either returning to golf or just starting during the pandemic. like so many other recreational sports sports right now there is a massive influx of new customers looking for equipment. people like this with no established brand loyalty are gonna buy whats available and at a reasonable cost.

 

I wanted to upgrade my 2014 top flight gamer set, and looked at pretty much every brand and their current availability. PXG's gen 3 irons made sense since they (at this moment) are at or below the price of most other clubs with similar tech I was looking at. they also only took 5 days from the order to show up at my house last week.

 

It will be interesting to see if it pays off in the long run, as I'm sure older customers that bought their stuff at a crazy premium are no doubt unhappy with the price slashing, but at the same time I'm sure they have gained a bunch of new followers. I might end up being one of them.

I ordered the gen 4 s 7 thru GW on Wednesday of last week and was going to be Thursday this week for delivery. Got an update that the date has been moved to tomorrow. I’m in Illinois by the way and my FedEx deliveries are usually on time. Sorry for those who are having bad times with FedEx. My problem is with the postal service.

The 0311 P will be closest to the i210.  I have a set of the Gen 3 P's and couldn't be happier with them.

I ended up getting a set of the i210s in the black dot with a dynamic gold 120 shaft they had in stock.  I was fitted for blue dot but they guys at the shop said to play a few rounds with them as is and they can always bend them to blue dot specs later.  I will be playing my first round with them today, I hit a ton of balls on my skytrak with them and the distances are almost identical to my i3+ set but the mishits and my dispersion pattern is much better with the i210s so I really think these clubs will help me get closer to low single handicap. 

 

I'm currently getting my dad into a new set of PXG clubs and I am pushing him towards to Gen 3 0311 XPs

There is something to what you say.

 

PXG started out with awfully high set prices as compared to other OEMs.   Over time, he's brought pricing down into more competitive range.  As I understand, his clubs are made in the US.  I wonder how long he can do that and still keep prices competitive.

If you can take advantage of the hero's pricing the 0211 DC's are 74.50 an iron right now. Just crazy cheap, maybe worth picking up a set just to have as a back up or travel set.

The Gen 3 P is the one I like. Hit all the Gen 3 series last week and it was surprising. Didn’t really seem much larger to my eye vs the T from address, but it was definitely more forgiving. Thin strikes still get nice distance. Hard to believe they’re cheaper than most other irons given how nice they are.

For what its worth, if the Gen 3 P is anything like the i210s, they must be amazing.  I played my first round yesterday with my new i210s and shot a 75 (+3) which tied my best round ever and I missed a 6' putt for birdie on the 18th (that really hurt).  They were extremely tight with dispersion and any mishits had minimal consequences.  I can see myself buying a set of the Gen 3 soon based on all the feedback I've read.

I couldn’t resist the price on Gen 3 0311P so just ordered a set yesterday.  Great customer service, realized had wrong shafts and called.  Got real person in 2 mins and e-mail confirmation of change in 10.  Stoked.

I have a set of Gen 2 P with Steelfiber fc115, and they are awesome.  I soft-stepped those once, but should have probably done twice.  Still great, though.  That said, the i210 are incredible irons as well, and are really up there with the best of the best IMHO.  Recently received a set of those with Steelfiber i110.  The i210 really feel better than a number of forged irons that I own.  Can't go wrong with either the P's or i210's, and I am happy to have both.
