True story, few years ago when he was just starting on tour he was at the Safeway Open. Silverado CC is a pretty old school course, tees and greens all jammed together in some areas, so you are almost on top of players for certain tee boxes (which are also tiny). His group was on the short par 4 (I want to say #8), he was last to tee off, stripes it down the middle and the group starts to walk off.

 

I had been visiting the hospitality tent behind the par 3 green there so I was a bit sauced and yelled GOOOOOOOCH as they walked off. He turned and smiled...his wife/girlfriend also turned...but she certainly did not smile. LOL!

Yeah, he shot a 62 today, I do believe...... I don't think he's working on his driver all day....it's always about the putting.....IMO

Time to ditch Hawaii.  The courses are just cupcakes unless the wind blows.  Na. ight shoot 56 today and last week the lowest score in relation to par record was set and eventually took 3rd.

He's a good dude.  He's a remember at my club, try to leave them all alone but talked to him some during the lockdowns in 2020 out there about when the tour would start back up.  He's really close friends w/ a guy I play some men's league stuff with.  Nothing but positives about him as a person.

Something must have happened between Tuesday afternoon and today as his hat in the practice round Tuesday was fine per Getty Images. Sponsor he had since last year. It's a PE/VC firm.

I watched the features group (caved and got ESPN+). There were 2 par saves he converted that could have been bogeys, but 4 birdie putts that could have dropped. He could have been 57 if everything dropped.

I'm also partial bc I bet $35 on him at 28:1.

I also have $20 on Na at 28:1. Now he is at 4:1, crazy. Hope he wins this and another tournament and makes the President Cup team. He wants to participate desperately.

Some observations

 

If Cam could play fairways the size of the Tour Champions he could win every tourney.  Tighten them up and real rough, he stinks

Glad they are playing a tougher course
