I assume this was needed to add length to the hole? I doubt it was like this originally?  Either way, this seems pretty crazy.

A) There is no distance problem.

B)  Highly doubt that Perry Maxwell and later Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner wanted that but looks like the tee was put in during the "historic restoration" 

C)  Assume A is false.  Someone felt the need to make it play longer.  Course built in 1936.  Just getting into the steel shaft era of golf clubs.

he was doing a walk-thru(well, drive-thru) with only his putter and a few balls..some holes he just walked onto the green without a club and rolled balls to watch them…

All kidding aside the original pic is pretty darn weird. I really can’t see them using this. I know you want to stretch the course but, but …. This is in a defcon 2 territory. Interesting though. Slow play and back ups. 
 

After the last couple of weeks and the drama of Phil, the return of Tiger, the John Daly happy hour, and the faux drama of the busted hand long drive competition, I really can’t wait for this one. Seriously good weather. 
Even though I didn’t pick Schefffler and was in the @Fergusoncamp.  But checking the run off areas, and the fact that SS handled these at Augusta, not sure sure.

I have not had any experience with the more pricey rums that you gents are promoting. My go to rum is this. Yeah it might burn a bit more going down, but it still gets the job done.

The interviews with the media are rather interesting, enlightening really. After usual gratuities there’s always a question about LIV and Phil, sometimes players disclosing their intentions, then moving to the course and what they’re working on. 
Does anyone know when the media talks to the commish?
