s55 - i210 and Blueprint are pretty much the standard for WITB of Ping staffers, regardless the LPGA PGA or any other tour you can find.

Don’t forget iblades which are more prevalent than s55 or i210 on pga tour

I just found out about it too since I just ordered a used set of s55's (actually was this thread giving me too much fomo on the s55's, and I found a set 4-9 for 200).  Looks like you can go through an authorized dealer and "replace" 2 clubs per year. You do have to go through an authorized dealer.  I believe price per club is gonna run you 100-150.  I found a place online called Mortons IIRC that have that replacement on their site.  It will come with the same serial number as the original set. Thinking I might do it sometime next year.

Agreed. And Ping (as an engineering company) has a policy that they can’t release something unless it’s measurably better. But It feels like (for irons definitely) they just make engineering “improvements” and don’t put as much weight into playability preferences of players.

 

But every now and then they hit on a mix of the engineering and playability, like in the clubs you mentioned.

Based on the amount of meat on the these, it's hard to believe they won't be as forgiving as i230's but I guess Tyrell is only using the short irons.

Great pic. 
 

They look like they have a decent size cavity, and should be relatively forgiving. 
 

So many of the new players irons are little more than a blade with a slight scoop out of it, or a very shallow cavity. I’m from the era of Callaway Pro Series and DCIs. Bring back the full cavity! 😄

While they have a cavity, it looks like there’s some good amount of meat on that.

It’s pretty balanced….

 

by my count on Ping website PGA Tour guys use

 

Blueprint 8

iblade 8

i210/230 7

S55 5

 

for guys playing a combo set I counted short irons used.  For example Mackenzie Hughes uses i210 for 4-6 irons and S55 for 7-pw.  I counted that as S55.

 

So yes, there are more blade than the others but negotiable difference imo.

Thanks for the photos. The new Blueprints look to me to be a bit larger head size than the current model.
