correct. He is probably drinking gallons of weight gainer and calling it "gains".

Hey. I’m 6-3 211 currently. I’m carrying a couple extra too. I’m trying to talk myself into giving up sugar and bread and get down to 195.

I did Keto. It works but it is hard to follow if you leave the office and go out for lunch everyday. I went from like 240 (which scared me) to 210 in about four weeks. I looked better but did not really feel better. Obviously gained a good bit of that back but I stay at 225-230 all the time. The 240 was a spike up for some reason.

What a lot of people don’t realize is how hard it is to keep weight on during a season of golf. It’s not crazy to drop 7 -kbs during a tournament week. No matter how good your nutrition and diet is. I would think part of 220 is so he can stay at a goal weight come August on the pga tour.

Lifting wise I’m really not sure about what he’s doing though lol

His swing was already awkward looking.

I have trained and powerlifted for years and “bulk” into the low 200’s and 12% bf. Walk around 190 and 8-10%bf during the golf season. Guarantee if he actually gets to 230 he will lose it by spring because he won’t get along well with carrying that weight.

> Rest assured he has an equation to calculate whatever weight he is aiming for. Has probably read a dozen papers on the subject. Is probably doing 4.36 reps when deadlifting.

>

This is a joke, I am sure. If he was actually *deadlifting some weight for 4.36 reps, I'd say, oh, he's maybe doing this.

But, he is doing 4.36 reps of *curls with lady weights and 2 pull-ups.

I think he is goofing on BK (and the rest of us ; ) or something.

This is what people in the lifting world like to call a "dreamer bulk". He's going to gain about 4-5 pounds muscle, 20-30lb fat, then go ah crap I'm fat now! and have to drop 20-30 pounds, which in the process he will probably lose 2-3lb of muscle because he'll have to cut faster. So for all his efforts and time, he'll have gained a whopping 1-2lb of muscle trying to fast bulk in just a few months instead of going low and slow over the course of a few years. But, due to the high demand of being a pro golfer and having to practice and play a ton, he's unlikely to have the time/energy to lift for 2-3 years 3-4 days a week on an extremely consistent basis.

According to most standards of FFMI, a value of 24 is basically going to be near or at the genetic limit for almost all natural lifters. At 6 foot 1 195lb, assuming between 12-15% BF, BAD would have an FFMI of between 21 and 22. Even higher than 22 if his BF % is lower. Assuming he kept his body at the same levels, he could realistically get to about 210 if he has great genetics. That would make him in an *elite* physical condition though, which for a pro golfer, is probably not very realistic. To slowly go from 195 ---> 210 pounds without getting fat from dreamer bulking would likely take him many years, not just months. What he is doing is silly and I can't believe his coach/agent would let him do this.

Yep. For such a smart guy, he knows you can't fool the internet. Not only claiming he gained all that weight, but claiming its all muscle as he hasn't had a BF% change, by curling 15 pounders and struggling to do unweighted pull ups

Is this a vanity thing for BAD maybe? If not, I am with bladehunter on this... he must be trolling.

With his scientific/engineering mind (insert eye-roll), I would think he would focus on improving his overall strength (not vanity muscles) and actually do a bit of a cut to improve his game... definitely not a bulk cycle. In order to do that efficiently, it would take him at least a year without packing on a ton of flab. It seems so counter-intuitive given his already decent size.

Yep. But when you’re OCD guy like me sometimes cold turkey is the way. At least to start. I want to quit sodas completely. ( all I drink how for past 5 years is sprite or ginger ale as I once was all Dr Pepper and mt dew ). And stop the bread. I simply love certain kinds too much. And they make me feel bloated and yuck. Otherwise I’m a veggie and fruit eater by nature who doesn’t like candy and cake etc. and you can count on one hands the fast food meals I’ll eat a year.

Not to thread jack ( but I am I guess). But I list sugars and bread as the things I want to get rid of as they make me feel bad most often. I’ve been checked out twice for sugar issues and the doc claims I’m good , but yet if I don’t eat on time each meal I crash and go nuts. Worse if I’m not active tyat day. Meaning I can go longer if I am on course or working. If I’m sitting or just goofing off with the wife , I better be eating before or at noon. I tell her this and she says “ well eat regularly “. Thanks captain obvious. I explain that when I mean crash I mean can’t function crash. Can’t think , hard time focusing etc. Like my body will then crave things like meat and cheese. Crackers or bread. Something not sweet tasting.

Sorry. As usual I ramble on.
