Harris English has been on absolute heater for a good 6 months, what an event to finally get the W

Actually it appears something kicked in for him after the KFT playoffs ended in 2019 and he didn't have much PGA Tour status. Nice run of play the last 15 months.

True, a lot of great finishes in there. Definitely was trending to a W, surprised it hadn't happened sooner

The Plantation course sure offers a scenic round of golf. Is that a private course or can the public play it?

It is open to the public.  I played there a couple of years ago.

Good win for English, hard luck to Niemann. To shoot -9 on the final day when in contention and not win is tough.

While it was good to have a vet like Sergio hang around and be a calming presence for him I agree with @nikeblades00 that maybe he should have been at the range.  I understand it isn't close but had he gone earlier enough there would have been time for him to get a few full swings in.  If nothing else driver and whatever he expected his second club in to be.  He just hit chips and putts and his second into the playoff hole was a bit sketchy.  Maybe he would have done it anyway, who knows?  Either way a great day for PING and I would have been just as happy for Joaquin had he won as I am for Harris.  Both good guys.

just bring your wallet.  Hawaii golf isn’t cheap, but plantation is nearly $400 with tax.  Factor in food and souvenirs, and it’s easily over $500.

I ended up paying $175 with my Veterans discount, which I was surprised they offered.  I did spend a little in the pro shop.. hard not to...  I also was paired with a couple that lived on the course.  It was like having a forecaddie telling you where to hit it.  Great overall experience.

Agree and I actually had such a tough time thinking who do I want to win! Usually I go with the upstart or the unknown. But both these guys seem like a good dudes!

Seems Niemann wasn't warming up for after his round.  Do you think that might have hurt him?

he nailed his drive on 18, but flubbed the 2nd shot more than a bit ... shouldn't have hurt him as much, but the chip was horrible ... wouldn't have hurt to hit some drives and long irons as practice for the 18th, but he's the pro and i'm not ...

He wouldn't have been able to warm up properly by the time he got to the range, its way out in the middle of the course. He was aware of what was going on as he went to chip/putt when the final group was in the middle of the last fairway

glad to see English step up and get it done. That rhythm of his is to die for, almost Ernie like. A Niemann win would have been great too, ah that missed birdie putt on 18 what coulda been.

Hopefully he can use the money he won to get his niece the money to cure her disease. I think they were 3/4 to the $2 million needed.

I'm watching the recording and sounds like they were $100G short.  I'm torn between Justin Leonard using that opportunity for "commentary", but at the same time I can understand the emotion.

English missed a winning putt in 18 as well.

What am I missing about Rahm’s fashion? His clothes are clean, nice colours and fit well enough? Why is everyone riding him?

He doesn't wear clothes well.  Other than that, people need to dump on someone for something no matter how trivial.
