Talk should stop...Rory has gotten him both days.  Should be whether Rory can drive it.  Bryson not gonna do it, especially if he can't outdrive Rory and both of them aren't even the longest of the day.

I've been pretty underwhelmed with Bryson's distance overall. He definitely hits it a long way now, but by no means is he the longest guy out there. It's definitely a storyline the golf media loves to play and Bryson continues to fuel it. I highly doubt his whole notion of driving the green was ever going to be a reality, but Bryson knows the right buttons to push to perpetuate the story (which, hey, it's good self-marketing on his part). 

 

He sure does make it aesthetically look like he's a long-drive guy, even if his numbers are actually pretty average amongst the best drivers on the PGA Tour.

Yeah, I like BD but ... it's kinda funny how it's all OMG LONGEST EVERRRR all while little 5'9", 160lb Rory routinely outdrives him AND finds the fairway. With the most frighteningly impeccable balance and control ever. 

 

That was what got me most seeing Rors at the Genesis last year - how he generates so much speed and power yet finishes with more style and balance than I do with my PW smdh.

Well said.  Beautiful balance and control, and still hits it past Bryson who is falling out of balance as he finishes. I’ll take that every day of the week.

Looks like he needed to same carry to clear the lake where he hit it as he would have needed to get across where the green is.
