Anyone go 50, 56, 60 for their wedges?

50, 56, and 60 works for me.  I thought it is pretty much the standard setup. I know that lofts in between these have always been around, and have had others in the bag.

I use 50 ( full 120, half 90 yards), 54 (full 105, half 75), and have tried 58/60/62 in the final spot. I love the 62 from green side rough and bunkers as it has wide sole but low bounce. Maltby M series + 62. It is a little short on distance for the 50 yard shot that I need that is easy with the 60 degree half swing. Half swing 58 is closer to 60y. half swing 62 is closer to 40y. I think I will likely go back to 60 as I like the 50 yard shot in the bag. Rarely do I use the 60 for full shots. Didn't like 56 as I could comfortably get it to 95 but needed the 100yard shot dialed in and 54 did that for me. Plus better for the low chips with a little roll out but some mild check. 56 too much check, 50 not enough. plus good on longer bunker shots when I really shouldn't use the 60/62.

So I've done something a little crazy. I bought a 64° wedge to try out because I have a real hard problem with stopping chips on greens. I decided to try out a 64° with the really wide sole a la the sure out/smart sole, mostly to keep me from trying out stupid things when I'm already toying with possibly too much loft. I kept my 60 in the bag while trying it out so I had a few rounds with 15 clubs.

I found that it works very well for what I bought it for, short sided chips. The ball stops a lot quicker with it. I've even gotten a few chips to one hop then stop. I went out today and left the 60 in the car and had a bit of a practice round. I found that I should keep it in the bag, except for what I bought it for. I'm just too inconsistent on longer shots. That being said, it's staying in the bag for now, so I go 45° pw, 50° aw, 56° sw, 64°. The 50° has been getting the lion's share of the work though.

Nope, I go 50 to 58. If I need something in between I just don't hit my 50 as hard.

Gap Wedge Srixon ZX-5 is 51 Degrees, Vokey 56.12 D Grind bent to 55, Vokey 60.8 M Grind bent to 59.

The Vokey 56 is my go to wedge around the green in soft conditions, sand and fairway. The 60 is for tight fairway lies and hard packed sand.

Pretty sure that's what Tiger carried for most of his career, his PW might be 49* now?  But through the Mizuno, Titleist and early Nike days I think 50-56-60 was his spec.

50°/56°/64° wedge setup here, too.

I previously used to have just a basic 54°/58° wedge setup because my old irons came with a 49° gap wedge as part of that iron set.

When I bought my new irons, the set did not come with a gap wedge so I added a 50° gap wedge and went 50°/54°/58° for a while.

I then found my lofts were just too strong on a lot of shots, so I scrapped that combo in favor of my current 50°/56°/64° setup, which is what I have now *really* become attached to.

I also have spare unused wedges in both 60° and 62° on stand-by just in case I ever find the 64° loft too weak some day and decide to take it out of service.

I no longer use the 54° and 58° at all, but still keep those in my possession as I really like the way they feel when hit.

For my wedge shafts, I use KBS Tour-V HT 125 wedge shafts (HT = "reinforced tip/heavy tip"), which is actually Phil Mickelson's KBS shaft model (but in the lower-balanced HT version of it that is only available via special order direct from KBS, and is not sold at retail).

For all my wedge heads, I only use Cleveland and nothing else.

I go 49.5, 56, 60 and never had any issues with the distances. I did try a 54 in place of the 56 but couldn’t settle with the slightly lower flight and my bunker game took a hit.

50, 56, 60 here. I chip better with a 56 and I like my 60 for bunkers.

I was 46/52/56/60.

46/50/56/60 was better.

Went to 54/58 and the 50 was not a big enough gap.
Now at 44/48/54/58. I’m happy.
I think I just like a 6 degree between gap and sand.
Also PWs are getting too strong.
