What are your dream irons?

Left handed Wilson Staff blades. I would not game them (because my ball striking is not that consistent) but I would love to just own them because they look so good.

Pretty happy with the irons I currently own (Ping iBlades, ISI Nickels and BeCus, and Eye 2+ BeCus - and also some Vega VC-02s).

 

However, if I ever saw a set of copper Epon AF-302s on offer in good condition, I'd break the bank for them.

I am pretty much gaming them with one exception which would be the 680 blades Titleist did a limited run of and that Adam Scott has been known to play, so yeah, Titleist blades (I have 718 version and probably won't buy another set until they return to gloss chrome). I would say the Baby Blades from Miura but I am not quite consistent enough to play those I wouldn't think.

purest, sexiest clean irons i've ever had the pleasure of owning/gaming. eats me to this day i sold them.

Miura MB-101 with DG X100 TI would have to be it for me. Don't have the game to hit them yet, and playing competitively doesn't exactly suggest blades are in my near future. Perhaps one day, when I retire and move to Bandon, Oregon....

I have not tried the Lazrus irons, but I might get the driving irons to try out since the wedges are great. The Lazrus irons aren't anything special.

 

I'm enjoying my BGD's, but they aren't blades. The Miuras would be a combo or straight blade set.

My current irons are perfect, look & feel great and they perform for me.  I guess if I had to select another, if Ping were to put out the Eye 2's again I would switch in a heartbeat.  I played those irons from my freshman year in high school up until they really couldn't be played no more in my early 30's (when the rocketbladez jumped in).

The only "dream set" I think I'm missing is a classic set of Titleist 600 series blades. If I ever come across one in decent shape/price I'll pull the trigger.

My apologies. I confused the BGD's with the Lazrus when I saw what clubs are currently in your signature.

The BGD's are forged and really damn nice considering what I paid. The Lazrus wedges are also forged, but I think the irons are cast. They look good, that's why I'm considering the 2/3 driving irons. But far from a dream iron for sure.

If I could be 20 years younger, no question I would be playing P7TW's.

 

I'm not a TM fan at all.  I've hit all their irons and I don't like any of them, except the P7TW's.  It's easy to see how much they changed for this one particular club to suit Tiger's desires.

 

At my age, swinging a 36 degree 7-iron with a 130g shaft doesn't go very far.  But man, I tell you it's the sweetest and most pure 120 yard 7-iron carry you've ever seen or felt.

I was actually considering doing a custom partial bag P7TW order where I would get the 5-W with lighter shafts and jacked lofts.  I figured then I could fill my bag out from there.  I'd probably have two 5 and 6 irons.  The non TM ones would be my real 5 and 6 and then my TW 5 would be my 7 iron, etc.  I wouldn't have a gap wedge because the TW 9 wedge would be that for me.

 

But TM won't fill an order for anything less than 4-PW so forget that.  I'm into clubs and all but having those isn't going to change my scorecard over my current MIzzy's.
