Ping i210 have me scoring better than any other set that I have had so that's my vote.  Although, J40 DPC is a close second for all time best.

Although I never owned them, the Eye 2 is clearly the most influential. My favorites are the Callaway Legacy Blacks. Mushy soft as anything ever and more forgiving than a CB should be.

My favourite all time irons are the 714 AP2. Worked great for me, for so so long and the difference in performance was a real game changer going into them from the original AP2’s.

 

My current T100’s are great all look phenomenal but those 714 AP2’s, they just hit different for me.

The irons I was gaming when I was playing my best golf were Lynx black cat tour so I would have to go for those. Also enjoyed mp32's and AP2 712's plus my current gamers z785's.

I have been playing for 54 years and my handicap has never gone up when I've changed irons so ,I guess, I can honestly say that the best irons ever are the one that are currently in my bag.  and I hope this will true when I hang up the spikes for the last time!  Currently the honor is held by Srixon Z765  cut, weighed, and made by me.
