Wow. We knew Walker from the Ping thread, but Adam Scott? He is Mr. Titleist. It seems like there’s so many guys who I’m saying “I hope he finds his game again”, but seriously, I know he’s not played terribly, but I hope Adam finds his game again.

Will be interesting to see what driver he lands on.  I’d say most of his clubs are safe. But driver he always hunts and pecks with.  I’d bet he tries some stuff.

If you're implying the putter, his putting stats have actually been quite solid for several years now. He does seem to be prone to the choke of course, but his strokes gained off the tee and around the greens have been the two main blemishes.

It's unfortunate Titleist didn't sign AS to a lifetime contract like Ping did for Bubba.  AS was the face of Titleist through the past two decades plus.

Titleist is a big brand and there's sooo much money in the game at the moment, plus with a supposed resurgence in the game to have one of their staffers refuse to use their newer gear is not good marketing? I mean, there comes a point where if the results aren't there for all the effort that goes into making a one-off or reusing old stuff, the powers that be basically say enough is enough?

Scott is certainly an interesting case. You'd have to think that he was still their biggest non-american player from a marketing perspective. I know he still is very popular over here in Europe and I'd have to think the same is true for Australia and Asia.

Whilst he may not be a contracted staff player for Titleist, I would be surprised to see him play other brands of clubs even without a deal. Driver perhaps but not irons, wedges and putter. I could be wrong, be a gamble for him if he started tinkering with equipment as he has always pretty much always played the same irons.

Agree - but when it comes to equipment he wasn't exactly contributing to the marketing cause. Kind of like Nike staying in the apparel business and signing the big names, the same may apply to AS?

Shocked Scotty and Titleist are parting ways according to the equipment junkie instagram account. Especially after his 1 of 1 irons were made. Can anyone confirm and where will he go next and general thoughts?

Adam Scott has underachieved his whole career.  With that golf swing it boggles me why he hasn't won more events.  If only he could putt!

Also agree.  Strangely enough for the 2021 season he was in the top 20 strokes gained putting and changed driver about 3 times with him strangely wild off the tee.  Maybe Titleist just thought end of the road and his best days behind him.  It will be interesting to see what monstourous putters he finds to have a stab with now that’s for sure 😂

He wasn't even wearing a Titleist hat for a while now.  How would an average Joe even know he's playing their clubs other than a bag which nobody looks at anyway (other than us golfwrers).  He probably wanted too much money and it was an easy decision for them.  Problem with Titleist is they dont retain, probably due to not paying what TM or Cally pay. So it's for someone like Rory to come out winning and then him leaving for money.

He still makes a lot of cuts, bag gets seen.  He's well known.  And honestly, sounds kinda trite but if there's a Mount Rushmore of brand ambassadors he'd have to be on it.  Polite, well spoken, why wouldn't you want that representing your brand?

Have to think it was mutual, but he still has a long-standing relationship with the Titleist tour department and the guys on the truck.  I would expect that he ends up with mostly Titleist sticks in his bag - at least wedges and irons - for the foreseeable future with perhaps some interchangeable parts with the long stuff and the putter.
