I bought back some 2012 Nike VRS Forged irons as a back up set and use them regularly...not quite 10 yrs old but 8 is close enough?

My MP 52s had their 10th anniversary in my bag last month. After 6 years of almost no golf, I got back into playing a little more this year and hope the faces have another season or so in them before I go and get fit for some new toys

I just got rid of mine. That was a mistake as they were the best cavity backs I ever played.

I really like those MX-300. Feel as soft as the MP29. For all intent and purposes those MX-300 could have been labelled as a MP. Gonna be roasted by Mizuno MP connoisseurs now.

Not quite 10 years old, but I’m in the process of replacing my Taylor Made CB Tour Preferred irons with a set of Callaway Apex Combos. I want some more playability in my short irons and the Callaways are so well reviewed. I got the combo set off eBay. I can’t believe the lofts- I’ll replace my 5-PW TP’s with 6-AW in the Callaways. Looking for ways to trying them out.

Going back even older with the Tommy Armour 845S Silver Scot irons I played back in 1990.  Let's see what happens.  Been playing the Bridgestone J33 CBs and Snake Eyes 600C lately so this will be a move from forged blade like CBs to cast irons with a lot of offset.  Also back in action is the old Anser putter and TA 588 56 and 60 wedges.

Tommy Armour 845 knock offs 3-PW.  Been trying to replace them for 15 years....can't.  Nothing comes close....especially with awesome old skool lofts....PW is 48

Have a thing for old Pings as well.  Seem to play as good as modernist irons, the 140 yard club hits the ball 140 yards.  Which is nice.

Before I bought my Nike's last fall, I was playing a set of Ping Zing 2 knockoffs I bought in '97, I think. I really like them, but I never played more than once or twice a year at best. Last summer when I got serious I needed something at least a little newer.

And you do not care what number is on the bottom either just as long as it goes 140 yards. I think I am going to go back to my old stuff after yesterday.

have a set of miura cb1001, 26 years old head with 7 years old s200 shaft and month old grip. still plays real nice, the nickel finish is flawless. I play them sometimes, somewhat easier to hit than the blades I use currently.
