I know three WRXers. One I knew before I even became a WRXer and is one of my best golf buddies. The other two I met through here and have played a few rounds with. Both are great guys as well!
yes i'm the only one in my group unfortunately...
yep. One and only. I am also the only one in my group. hahaha.
There are a lot of them in this area and I have only met one and that was by chance one day. He was at my course on the range and recognized me from my Avatar picture and the fact I was hitting Macgregor blades. He talked to me a few minutes and then his group was teeing off. He was an older fellow than I am and he played with one of the traveling senior groups. Seemed a likable guy but I have forgotten his screen name

My friends are all other hacks who don’t care.
Stu, that is pretty cool that they recognized you from your avatar. I’m sure there are quite a few down your way that are on here. I got paired with 2 guys a while back at The Neuse that fit the mold as to a typical WRXer. I never asked them but would bet money they are. As far as my other playing partners, some are a little more knowledgeable about equipment than the one referenced in my OP, but none had heard of this site till I started talking about it.
Not sure if there is one withing 3 counties of me...
I use this as my secret signal to other WRXer's. Unfortunately it's so secret no one else knows it, and they think I'm picking my nose.
Out of my two old regular groups, there were no other members. One guy reads the site but has never joined.
Since we moved I don’t have a regular group. But it was kind of funny, I work a couple nights a week in the proshop. One of the other guys was telling me about this cool website that covered just about everything golf. He pulled it up on the shop computer, when I saw it, I said yeah, “I’ve been on there once or twice”. 😀
Far as I know I'm the only one posting on here. Lately, I have mentioned a few things to them which I read on "this golf forum I'm on" - no name is ever dropped (sorry for not promoting the brand). 😜

Well my group consists of my father and brother (who just walks the course with us), I'm quite certain they don't post on here, therefore the answer to the question is yes.
I doubt there's anyone in my entire club that posts here or has even heard of it.😀
I am the only person I know who has ever heard of WRX. Back in the old Bombsquad days, I mentioned being a member to a stranger, and they thought that was my job.
Yeah I did a double. That was me bro. I gave you a pic and a twelve pack of Red, White, and Blue beer. And you don't remember me? I am so sad.
I play with 7 Mods.....
I am very polite and always tip my hat.
Naaw because no one gave me any red white and blue beer---- Do they still make that?---- I would have darn sure remembered that if it had been PBR
I honestly don't know. In my early 20's-30's I was like Mr. VeryCheapBeer. I tried them all.
I don't know if you are as old as I am--- Do you remember back when Jimmy Carter was POTUS? We had Billy beer which was named after his brother. We always suspected that it was PBR re branded. And of course there were hangover makers and gut busters--- Old Milwaukee, Milwaukee's Best----- Oh yeah in my 20s and 30s I was guilty of being Mr. Cheap Beer and we are not going to even walk the road of Mr Cheap Whiskey either
Schlitz! Don’t even know if I spelled that correctly. A lot of PBR in our past. But we had a guy we played with in Phoenix, plenty of money to last a lifetime. Nothing but Old Milwaukee. Of course, as much as he drank if didn’t drink cheap beer he probably wouldn’t have had all that money!
A good playing partner--who I haven't been out with in a long time--is probably the foremost blade snob on this website. So my equipment choices are very un-WRX compared to some I hack around with.
Probably older. Yep actually bought a six pack of Billy Beer, the best beer I've ever tasted he said, it wasn't. Ever have Blatz Beer? $5.25 a case back in the day. Heffenreffer, spelling off, we called it the green death, could get a six pack of big boys for $1.05 lol ahh the good old days.
My closest buddies and golfing wives are not into golf equipment nor very knowledgeable about what's in their bags. They don't frequent internet discussion boards either. The nature of my profession has me on the computer and I am near full retirement. Friends, however, are younger and still hold high level positions or have medical & surgical practices that require a lot of attention.
LOL I think I know him--- Didn't he threaten to disown you if you got rid of the Baby Blades?
Yeah you spelled it right---- Bud will give you the cruds and Schlitz will give you the Schmitts. How in the world did we go from WRXers that we have met to cruddy beer?
Fake news! Fake news!
ok, you're right....but I still have them :)
Yet, your signature says #1 you play a dastardly cast club with a sweet spot the size of TX and those poor baby blades appear to be playing second fiddle. 😥
I need the blades. It's how I spread butter on my hot biscuit.
Does she know you call her hot biscuit?
We have unique and special talents here don’t we?!
That is the one thing that is consistent here, that you cannot ever predict the direction a thread will go. Besides, a discussion about crappy beer is a nice and needed break from the USGA distance report thread!
When I moved to CLT I met a guy on here who I started to golf with. He has since moved to Phoenix.
No one else I know has ever been on this site or even knows about it.
