What wedges are you playing?

I'm going into my third season with Callaway MD wedges. See below.

 

I'm attempting to get an MD4 54*/10 S-grind for a sand wedge. The wide-sole MD3 is hanging up in the sand too much lately - more area courses are shifting to heavier river sand for bunkers. (I'll keep the Wide sole for courses which still have powdery sand).

Bit the bullet and went NCW.  I loved my old Scratch wedges and wish I still had them.  Ari helped me figure out some adjustments to the sole grind of my old ones which made these even better.  Could not be happier!

The MD5 don't go as far with same loft.  I got on trackman to figure out why...MD5 spin more and go higher than sm8.   It made me go from 56 in sm8 to 54 in md5 and from 52 to 50.  I'm not sure if it's the shafts or grooves.  Now that I'm used to it, I like it.

Vokey SM7s, I’ve had them 18 months but we’ve not played since December in the UK. Combined with two other full on lockdowns and I generally switch to my previous wedges in winter, there’s plenty of life in these Vokey’s yet.

I’m gaming Cleveland Zipcore wedges in 52 and 58 Mid.

Love them so much that I ended up ordering a Srixon ZX4 4i and ZX5 5-PW also...just so smooth to swing and the control and feel is excellent!

Went from Ping Glide Stealth to PXG 0211 GW, SW, LW.  Played SS grind in the Ping’s and the 0211 look and play very similarly and match my set of 0211 5-PW.

Callaway Mack Daddy Forged 50-54-60.  Love the look at address, soft feel and the bounce grinds work with my shallow angle of attack.

A lot of Vokey/MD5 players in here. I will have to give them a look. I think those two along with T20s are the three I will point out for my fitter to specifically pull, along with any recommendations he has of course.

Started with MG2s this season -- moved to an RTX ZipCore 54 Full and a JDM Vokey Cold Forged 58-04 low bounce K. 

 

Couldn't be happier. The LB K reminds me of my Vokey 258-08 which might be my favorite lobber of all time. Swingweight feels heavier than the MG2s, which suits my shortgame -- might just be all mental but I have convinced myself there's a difference. The ZipCore has one round on it now and it spins just as much as the MG2s. The ZipCore also blends really well with my PXG 50 degree -- it kinda reminds me of a nice mix of my Vokey 256-14 and my old TA 588 SW. Either way I hadn't played a Cleveland wedge since playing the TA 588 and I'm impressed. 

 

I want to reshaft all of them with TI S400 or Modus3 125 Wedge.

 

And this isn't to say that the MG2s are bad wedges -- they are great, I just think I needed the correct bounce/sole/shaft/lead tape combo to make those work. That and the fact I went from a 3-wedge system to a 4-wedge system this year, so it seemed like it was potentially time for a change rather than trying to swingweight and bend the MG2s.

PW and GW are my set wedges for my Cleveland 588 mts, then I have a 56° Cleveland 588 rtx cb 2.0 with 2 dots, and my 60° lob wedge is from warrior custom golf and was given to me by my dad. The club ho in me is thinking about getting a different lob wedge, but it seems to perform and it's rarely used so I just need to ignore the urge.

Giving Haywoodgolf a chance this season. So far they are impressing me. 48 bent to 49, 56 bent to 55 and 60 bent to 59. All in S400. And most important of all, all RAW 🙂

Switched from Vokey SM7s to Corey Paul wedges last year.  Still have them in the bag.  52, 56, & 60.  Put them together with BB&F ferrules and KBS Tour V Wedge shafts.  Great around the greens.  Got several more heads for when these wear out.

I am still torn between the 2 

Both are very good and very easy to hit. Ton of forgiveness

They came out a few years ago, but I get brand new ones when I see them for sale so I have several duplicates of each model.
