Most impressive was his putting - he putted like a dog on Sunday at the Scottish Open. So much so he was switching grips during the round. Certainly sorted that quickly.

He switched grips each day this week. Longer putts he went with a more standard grip, shorter putts he used the claw method.

All right I will play Devils advocate for Paul Azinger... The man beat cancer 26 years ago in his prime of his career, I think that says enough about Paul Azinger. Does he say silly stuff? Yes. We know. I don't think Zinger cares what people say about his skills as an broadcaster. He used to be very good with Nick Faldo when they used to work together.

He already won the US PGA championship! Haha. Call the tournament’s what you want. IMO anyone that gets their panties in a bunch over the particulars of the official titles needs to GAL.

Really missed brutal winds, rain and colder temps. Guys shot 65s easy.

 

Greens weren't really running fast, seemed to hold approach shots, didn't really factor in making anything harder for anyone.

 

But Collin handled it well, played a solid round when it mattered most..

Accepted. But then you can go back one more to 2014 and McIlroy won in fair conditions at Hoylake, two more and Phil won at a baking hot Muirfield and three more to Lytham when Ernie won in sunny conditions.

 

My point was the weather isn't normally that bad. People tend to remember the bad days such as the infamous Saturday at Muirfield in 2002. It's often forgotten the Sunday was a lovely day.

Royal St George could be thrown out of the rotation in my opinion. They never got it firm and fast and it played like a local watered down muni. The Brittish Open is becoming too easy without horrendous weather as these courses aren't keeping up with the evolving players and equipment.
