Heresy!

Personally I'm pretty certain I'll be upgrading to the new Cobra driver. Just because.

I'm with you. Only thing that really excites me are some of the newer shafts that have come out or gained popularity. Currently have a Ventus Black, RDX Blue and Tour AD HD en route to compete with my gamer in a Tsi3 head. I'm a Titleist junkie so we're kind of in between cycles. No new Vokeys until Spring 2022, new wood line just came out and I don't think TSi hybrids will come out until the newest irons are released, which is a shame.

New Ping G425 looks intriguing though. Hard to look at but reviews are great.

I'm the opposite, I'm really looking forward to hitting the new 921s, the new Apex as well as the G425, which if nothing else is a great visual upgrade IMO. But then if funds were unlimited I'd probably buy 7 new sets of irons every year, and it doesn't have anything to do with thinking I'll play better 😉

I raid and hoard putter grips when this goes on. Just hope they have some decent selection this year, kinda want something else other than SuperStroke grips.

I'll definitely buy some of the new Ping stuff. I have no need for it, my driver is great and my G410's are also great

But i'll probably get the G425 irons or G425 Max driver. I'm worried if i don't buy anything Ping may stop taking my money in the future

I always enjoy hitting the new stuff but i don’t see enough difference to justify a new driver for $500. I finally pulled the trigger on new irons this year because I wanted something with more distance and forgiveness, but I doubt I’ll see any big improvements in woods or wedges this year. I’d rather spend that towards green fees or a buddy’s trip over summer.

I'm pretty set on my bag for the next 9 or 10 years. All I am waiting for is the price of the Big Bertha B21 driver to come down and I am all set.

None of it excites me for the first time in a while. I’ve hit the epic speed.  Like the mavrik I have better.    The sim 2 is Meh at best.  Probbaly say I prefer the sim I hit all last year.    G425 looks good. But doesn’t wow at forest glance over the 410.  Maybe if it sounded better ?  Don’t know yet.  I hit the titleist drivers and while nice , wasn’t wowed.    A Goldilocks ball is about all that could wow me.

Really not that excited as it seems the year of cosmetic updates for brands that interest me.

PING definitely has the best looking line they have ever done. Puts it on the radar and the Tensei AV Raw Orange is a nice NC option

SIM 2 seems more cosmetic updates and incremental design updates, not enough to make me move from SIM OG

Cobra RAD seems like incremental update performance wise with mainly a cosmetic update, the stock latest Fuji Motore offering is nice

Really haven’t paid much attention to irons since I got my Mizzy 921Forged end of 2020

I only look forward to new releases because it allows me to pick up older stuff cheaper 😀  I've learned that tech has been capped for so many years that everything is only incremental changes and often just horizontal moves and really have no impact on my scoring.

I spent a lot of time over COVID tweaking my bag and worrying about getting the shafts, weights and lengths to the point where I've been really consistent in my play since last summer.   Of course I'll tweak here and there just to scratch the "equipment" bug bit it will always be things a few years old.  So maybe my G30 now becomes the G400 Max (if the prices on that ever come down)🤦‍♂️

Has anyone else fallen into the same mindset?  I personally am not looking forward to the new offerings from the companies because really... I like my bag.  I love my ugly sounding Papa Smurf Mizuno ST180, and all of my other clubs are PING so really what am I going to get, a few more yards?  I will be trying a 14* Adams Tight Lies 3 wood that i'm building, but that is really it.  I truly love the look of all of my clubs, my bag, my gloves... I may try the Vice ugly green balls, but that's about it.

I've fallen into the old man bag where no matter how nice and shiny the new stuff is, I don't want to part with the old.

That st180 was a special head. Sounded rough, but I haven’t found a longer/straighter driver since. Even the st190 wasn’t quite the same, though it sounded better. I have high hopes for the g425 max.

i really like my .22 rifle. But god forbid if I had to go into combat I’d want literally whatever came out last.

Our local shop no longer carries new clubs, so I’m not as excited for the releases this year.  Less likely I’ll get to demo the new Mizuno, Srixon, Cobra offerings; maybe just Ping, TM, Callaway.

I finally and permanently displaced the 913D2 and the older fairway/hybrid with a fitting end of last season.

Currently intrigued by the Srixon zx7's and will no doubt find a way to hit some in a couple or three months.  If those don't knock my older irons out, then probably no changes (unless I convince myself my wedges aren't as sharp or something), except for putter.  I really haven't been excited about the Callaway irons lately, I did try the '16 Apex Pros and I thought those were great heads, but I ended up with shafts that were all wrong - still have 'em, maybe I should just reshaft and see what happens, been told by some on here with real golf games they are great.
