Are you addicted to one brand of clubs?

Just curious how much brand loyalty exists in the WRX community.  I'm brand agnostic and will play any club that performs.  I currently have 2 different brands in the bag, but thinking of expanding that to 3.

 

I do tend to favor the Callaway brand, but currently, I've been having a lot of success with Titleist.

I think I'm basically brand agnostic but do gravitate to the Ping section at the shop. Peeking at the Mizuno and Callaway sections too while walking by.  😎

Maybe Mizuno? I mean I have a gazillion brands in the bags/closet. But I’ve gone on and off with their irons, wedges, or (even once) driver.  I’ll try to remember the last 6-7 years.

 

MP-H5 irons 5i-9i w MP-15 PW (sold after 6 months)

S5 wedges (those were sweet)

JPX 850 Forged (liked ‘em so much I bought the…)

JPX 850 Driver (I like blue, less than 5 rounds, sold)

- why’d I sell the 850F irons? Who knows.

MP-15 irons (one range session. One. Sold.)

S18 wedges (still have ‘em, but had 3 sets at one point)

MP-54 (loved ‘em, then sold ‘em)

MP-15 (again) 5i-9i w H5 4i (just acquired, so…)

 

So it’s like I quit for a while then come back, quit again, rinse and repeat. Actually, I’ve been the same way with SeeMore putters. And a little with Bettinardi.  And Cobra woods.

 

So NO.  I’m not addicted.  Not to ONE brand.

I've been a Taylormade loyalist for the longest time, I dipped into PXG a bit and it's gotten into my bag. Titleist has been peaking my intrest as of recent

The bulk of what I played were TaylorMade and I even had an all TM bag for a brief time. Then I went pretty hard Titleist. I actually think once I’m done with the woods I have, which are TM, I might go all Titleist. 
 

It’s not what many people mislabel as OCD - I think I’ve just come to prefer the clean design, quality build, and feel - for certain in the wedges and putter.

I lean pretty heavily toward Titleist. Could easily play a full bag of their stuff. TSI3 driver and 3 wood, TSI2 5 wood, 818 4 hybrid and a Scotty. 
 

have a set of 712 mb’s but can’t bring myself to replace my j38’s. Not the biggest Vokey fan as I prefer more “boutique” brands of wedges ( Moira’s currently in the bag, Fourteen, and Edel) but with all the options I could go vokey no problem. Ping has been in my radar for awhile so could see myself mixing Ping and Titleist

I have strong preferences. (Ping, Mizuno, Bridgestone, Titleist)

 

Then a bunch of stuff I am willing to demo but just haven't purchased yet.

 

And also there is a short list of brands that I hope go out of business sooner than later. Or at the very least change their ways.

I thought I was going to become an all PING guy and I think that out of all the brands they probably do the best at making golf fun for the most people (it's sorta what they were founded on as Karsten just wanted to make the game a bit easier and more fun).  But, while I had wedges, irons, putter in the bag I bought a different driver instead of a PING driver and before I knew it I rotated everything else and ended up with a mixed bag, and now I no longer have any PING stuff.

I’ve been Titleist first and foremost for the last 7 years.  Have had multiple driver and iron sets of each release and one lost count of how many Scotty’s 

 

But I am also a TM fan and currently have almost a full backup bag of the Stealth, MG3 and Spider.

Adams peanut / Bullseye flange / Ram Watson BeCu wedge are amongst my all time favorite 

 

I will always have Ping somewhere - it's all I wanted since '84

Nah, not really. Once I find something I like I'll tend to stick with it and I do have a compulsion for some amount of consistency but I'm not seriously into any one brand more than the other.

The only brand 'loyalty', if I can even call it that, I have is with my custom Scotty Cameron 009. 

 

Funny thing is I don't like the guy, but he did make a great putter for me back in 2004.

Ping and titleist for me. I have had a couple Tm drivers and putters but being a lefty has traditionally limited what I can get. Ping hybrids always in my bag.

I had as many as 5 brands in the bag at the end of last season (Ping driver, Cobra FW, PXG hybrid/irons, Titleist wedges, TM putter), but over the winter moved back to what feels more like home base with just 2 (TM long, putter, Titleist irons/wedges).

 

I just found I enjoy the look of the TM long game stuff, and the look/feel/forgiveness of the Titleist irons more than others.

The first time I ever hit the F-Speed when I was 12 or 13 they became my favorite woods and nothing has changed that since

 

I have a certain liking for Odyssey putters but I'd play any brand for any slot outside of the woods

I gravitate towards certain brands for certain parts of my bag:-

Scotty putters as I’ve always played well with them over other brands.

Taylormade in the longer clubs.

Ping for my irons.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted by any means - I do like brands that I feel offer good value & performance like Cobra, Wilson/Staff, & Cleveland but I will try almost anything that I think looks like it will help me, save for a few brands that I simply do not like. And that's fine because there's so much great stuff out there that leaves me plenty to choose from.

I’m brand agnostic. If i had to pick one brand it would be Titleist but trying to play what performs best on course. First time I tried a Callaway driver and it beat out tsi. Then Srixon performed better than t100 for me. So now Titleist only has 5 spots in the bag.

PXG irons / Hybrids for sure. Also have had the Ping Glide Stealth wedges since they came out and have 2 back-ups for each one of them.

I will be honest, I love the PXG advertising.  We caved and bought PXG irons for my kid when Lydia Ko won with them in Hawaii last year and then the too broke up😐.

The Gen 3 P irons are great, just ordered hybrids.  Me I was brain washed by Mickelson but love the look of the Apex Blades but yes I have had everything!  Kind of going through a retro phase though, clubs that have good memories in them especially hybrids and woods.  Adams are still the best Hybrids.🙃
