I am glad to see so many votes cast for "142 consecutive cuts made", because I believe the media has not given that accomplishment the appreciation and respect it is due.

Hard to pick between the 6 straight US Jr/Am and the cut streak but to me it has to be the cut streak. The best anyone seems to be able to manage is what? 20 something? He played 7+ seasons and never missed the weekend, I don't care how many were no cut events, that is insane.

As the win totals of current players show winning is the toughest thing to do in golf; I think his win records are the only place to start.  Whether you want to talk about multiple win streaks over 5 or 7/11 majors I don't have an issue either way.  I'd probably go with the 7,6, and 5 tournament win streaks.  The player of the year usually doesn't get to 5 wins; he won 5 tournaments in a month and a half.  Of course he had Arnold Palmer's career major total from August 1999 to June 2002 so I could easily talk myself into that.

It's the equivalent to Dimaggio's hitting streak in baseball and will never be broken.  Aside from the skillset needed to even achieve something like that- let's say a player gets on a hot streak and makes a bunch of cuts in a row.  At one point does the media start to speculate and ask the player about Tiger's streak? 40 cuts?  50 cuts?  60 cuts?  Let's say it starts at 60 cuts.  That means that player will have to endure being asked the question for 82 consecutive events just to tie Tiger.  Oy vey.  Who's got the stomach or mental fortitude for that?  It's worth missing a cut just to make the pain stop.  It's a ridiculous record, but as others have mentioned here I'm not sure its his most impressive accomplishment.

What about the 82 PGA tour victories?

Tied with Sam Snead for most all time. No one else is even close...

That's the most impressive to me.

I voted for the ams.  I doubt that will ever be done again.  It’s incredibly hard at that age.  The cuts made is neck and neck. But I think by the time he was at that level , he just knew how to be consistent enough to be -3 or so after 2 days.  He’s a notoriously conservative starter. Hard yes. But I think it’s a touch less likely that we ever see 3 juniors snd 3 ams won by a single guy than the made cuts. And I think both are virtually impossible

IF we have seen TW for the last time then I would say the Tiger Slam......

BUT IF TW returns and somehow wins or by a miracle of a higher source wins a major, THAT might be his greatest accomplishment

I will wait for the end of his career to go back and rate his accomplishments, just dont think the last chapter has been written yet

This is such a hard question to answer when you have so many choices to ponder. I like the 82 wins, consecutive cuts, and weeks at number 1. as fans the media has trained us to put too much emphasis on Majors. There are so many one hit wonders that it shows you can just get hot for a week and win one.

I personally like the weeks number 1 and made cut streak as greatest feats.

So many amazing ones to choose from but for me it's got to be the Tiger slam.  Especially when you consider the often-overlooked fact that he also won the Players in that same stretch.  Also he was only a Masters (2000) away from winning 6 majors in a row!

Winning the Masters at 43 with his knee and back held together by titanium rods and bubble gum needs to be up there.

Impressive no doubt, but not close to his most impressive.  Tiger just focused his mind for one week and made it happen, he was living off of past experience and total belief in himself that week.  It was mind over matter.  The focus it takes week after week for that cut streak or 4 majors in a row is something no one else has ever done at a pro level.  I am going with the cut streak for the pure longevity of it.  The discipline it takes to make that happen is off the charts.  4 majors in a row will never happen again either, at least not in my lifetime I don't think.  I honestly think what Phil did to win the PGA is every bit as impressive, if not more so.

Consecutive rounds beating the field I think is the most impressive. 89 rounds in a row he beat the field average. That's other worldly. 142 cuts probably next, but the 7 majors in 11 and 4 in a row is up there too.

All of the records are off the charts. But 15 majors? Most tour players spend an entire career without winning one. Most tour players value a major win over any other accomplishments. Perhaps a reason some do not consider this to be his greatest accomplishment is because Jack won more.
