45yrs old(arthritic + tore rotator cuff)

4-6 (5x9 holes a month, 4x18 holes this year)

113mph ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ BS 164-168mph

Bridgestone BX or BXS depending on course conditions and weather

I loft from 8* to 9* when moving from a BXS to BX.

I’m  on the low spin side with my driver  due to positive AOA, but I’m rather high spin with my irons ….. around 7,000rpm with a 7 iron with the Bridgestone BX, and I play Mizuno HMB’s which are stronger lofted.

do u think the AVX is as long or even longer than a PV1 or PV1X? seems like all the testing shows that especially the PV1X is longer. wondering because i dont really see the difference, and i certainly prefer AVX feel much more. But I heard AVX is an 80 compression ball whereas PV1X is 110 ... that stat has me thinking PV1X has to be longer

So I had been playing the '19 1x and it was a great ball. Spin, flight, feel was excellent.  It was definitely longer than the '19 Pro V for me.

Naturally, I grabbed some '21 Pro V1X and I hated them! Way to much spin in my opinion.  Shorter on every club.. So I went to the '21 Pro V and I got that feel and launch I remembered.  On whim I tried the AVX and I love everything about it.

The one thing for me is it does offer low launch off the driver. For comparison, I'm normally an 8-9* driver and now I'm 10.5-11*. But the launch angle is exactly what I want to see.

Normally I don't see enough differences between premium balls to say that this or that one is the best. I think they all bring something to the table and it really comes down to personal preference and confidence.  After trying almost all the premium balls I settled in Titleist only because they seem to offer the "best" all around performance for ME! But I can say without hesitation, for me, that the AVX is consistently longer off the tee than the Pro V/1X.

One more thing I will add to this already long post. I'm not a simulator/numbers guy. I do all my club/ball testing outdoors on the course or range. So my experiences are from what I'm seeing during play and practice. On paper or in the simulator everything might point to the ProV/1x as the superior ball to the AVX, but not for me!!

107 give or take a couple,

Scratch, give or take 1, depending on how I am playing at the time, which is usually putting dependent.

Vice pro plus.  This is a very good ball.  My backup is left dash.   Both do well in wind which is a huge consideration in these parts (calm conditions are uncommon).

I did like the TP5X until the most recent iteration.  I liked the 2019 TP5X much better.

42 yrs old, 105-108 SS currently, 8-12 hdcp (rarely play this year, family health issues).  Been playing the TM TP's and TM balls before that for a long time.  Preferred the feel over the PV1/X's and could find one hit wonders for a buck a ball, so better bang for the buck for me.

Depending on day and launch monitor I'm around 104-108 with an off the shelf length driver. Between 15-16HC the last year.

I've been trying a few balls out within the last year and so far prefer the Srixon Z-Star XV, ProV1x is in 2nd place. I'm currently playing the Q-Star Tour Divide though that I was selected to member test here. Prefer the Z-XV still. I have never played a Callaway Ball so I some Chromesoft X to try next. May put them into play this weekend.

We're going on a Minimalist Adventure who knows were we'll end up:

Interesting topic. My GHIN says that I am a 6.7 HC, but lately I have felt like a 12.  I swing roughly around 95-100mph with driver, and currently play the Bridgestone Tour BXS. I play that ball because it lasts and I can get it to stop with little effort. I previously was a Titleist loyalist when it came to my preferred ball, but they just do not last for me.

~105 mph, 1-2 HC, Tour B X. Going to test out Z-Star XV a bit though. While I prefer to play the same ball I don't really have an issue playing pretty much any top-end ball.

Swing speed 90 MPH

12 Handicap

I play what I find, haven't bought a ball in 20 years.

I can attest that people lose more Titleist than any other ball, which proves that you can't buy a good swing.

105-108 SS

2.8 Handicap

Took 10 years off of golf and now debating which ball to commit to, but have been playing the TP5 and B XS.  I know that I like higher spin, higher launch, softer feel.  Feel is something I'm willing to give up and haven't really given the ProV1x a go but feel like I should.  Anyone similar given a fairly objective test of these three?
