Looks like a sticker but knowing Taylormades manufacturing ability and previous issues it could also be bad welding.

Absolutely brilliant by TM to make the face bright screamin' red - now every single guy swinging one on TV will be easilky recognized, especially the dudes in contract with other OEMs and equipment free agents.

Haha, I am trying to ignore the same thoughts/ random memories of seeing the past Tommy Armour drivers from Dicks Sporting Goods. Similar jagged edging, same font and same colors. But overall I’m good with it. It’s not like I’m not going to try to game this obviously.

I may be in the minority here but TM keeping the same adapter is brilliant marketing. There is a large after market business of guys  buying shafts to try (and keep) with the TM heads. I know a few Ping guys who switched over to TM just or that reason. They like " the hunt " and doing a different adapter every few years doesn't work for them. They know their settings and want to keep it simple.

I have not historically performed well with TM drivers, so I didn’t even try the two SIM lines, but, out of curiosity alone, I will definitely test the Stealth heads.

 

I don’t mind a red face, but this one does look too busy.  I do love how the crown looks like the 300 Mini.  I tested that club and loved the look and feel.

$549 I'm guessing that's the MAX version. Do you know if it's fade bias or square?

I got to hit it this morning and, other than aesthetics, there really won’t be a reason to buy another driver until other companies come out with there own version of a carbon face.  The only other driver that held its own on the ball speed front was the tsi3.  But that was only on center strikes.  The mis hits is where this club separates itself.  Think 400max with no excessive spin or speed drop off.  I’m not buying one yet though.  I still hit my tsi well enough and Titleist still leads everyone from a customization aspect so no upgrade for me yet.  Plus I’m not convinced of the durability of these things, but time will tell on that front.  This is big bertha and pro v1 type breakthrough stuff that other manufacturers will be sure to copy.
